Daughter of Dr. Edwin Eaton (adopted by Herschel Main in 1876), and Charlotte Emerson Bradbury, his wife. Granddaughter of William S. Bradbury and Elizabeth Emerson, his wife. Gr.-granddaughter of Rev. Daniel Emerson and Esther Frothingham, his wife. Gr.-gr.-granddaughter of Benjamin Frothingham and Mary Deland, his wife. Benjamin Frothingham, (1734-1809), was captain of Third Continental Artillery at Germantown, where he was wounded. He served to the close of the war and was a member of the Society of the Cincinnati. He was born in Boston; died in Charlestown, Mass. Also Nos. 1398, 2533, 4974.
