- EDITH HESTON FENIMORE, 71, of Haverford, an accomplished cellist and cook and a steadfast volunteer for the American Cancer Society, died Friday at the Bryn Mawr Terrace convalescent home.
Born in Philadelphia, Mrs. Fenimore, a member of the Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, traced her ancestry to Col. Edward Warner Heston, an officer for Gen. George Washington.
A 30-year volunteer with the Main Line Branch of the Red Cross, she was elected to the organization's Clara Barton Society in 1993.
Survivors: husband, Edward L.; sons, David H., Richard L. and Edward P.; daughter, Carol A. Gerson; seven grandchildren; a sister, and two brothers.
Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church, Montgomery Avenue, Bryn Mawr.
